Emotional Inclusivity is the process of thought that we should be encouraging connection, transparency and empathy in the workplace. Being able to bring emotions into our work is a significant factor in our ability to enjoy our work, feel connected to something bigger than ourselves, and to have the safety to express our true selves in what we create and with whom. When we are able to present our authentic selves at work, we have greater diversity of experiences and thought, we’re more productive and engaged, and we create the space for others do do the same. Emotional inclusivity allows for the intersection of empathy and diversity to occur, and it makes sure that all people have a voice.
Organizational design is a new and evolving field. It’s a process of looking at the conditions that shape and influence the way that people experience their work through things like culture, structure, processes, and incentives. And then helping them to become more adaptive, creative, and imaginative by re-imagining all aspects of the organization. The future of the organizational landscape demands different things than it did yesterday, and we need to design companies to adapt to these needs.
Empathic User Research is the process of conducting human-centered research that seeks to understand the users experience through empathizing with their point of view. Empathy is a powerful tool for innovative, efficient, and impactful user research. It allows you to understand and share the feelings of another, so you can design solutions that fit their exact needs and tell their story in a way that is truly authentic to their personal experience.
Intuitive Self-Management is a way of focusing on behavior management and change through self-compassion. It involves listening to the intuition to guide decision making, and using ones intuition to uncover what may be blocking positive change by bringing those thoughts or feelings to the conscious mind. Once these limiting belief systems are made conscious, we can make better choices and form better habits.
Persona Mapping & Story are tools for identifying who your clients are, what matters to them, and how and why they make decisions. This is done through research, focus groups and interviews. When you can empathize, you can understand, and when you can understand, you can tell the story of their journey. Knowing how to anticipate what your potential client will want from you improves engagements, creates more efficient design, and strengthens your overall business strategy.
